Cleary University

brand identity   |   brand experience    |   brand collateral    |   logo design   |   icon design

Cleary University was in the middle of a meaningful shift from a commuter-focused school to a more traditional, on-campus experience, but its brand hadn’t caught up. With new leadership guiding the transition, the identity lacked consistency, and communications varied widely across departments. The challenge wasn’t just to redesign how things looked, but to create a system that could bring clarity, alignment, and long-term usability.

The solution focused on building a flexible identity system designed for real-world application. The work established a structured framework by defining typography, layout, spacing, and composition as well as to ensure consistency across print, digital, and environmental touchpoints. A refined visual identity was introduced, along with a coat of arms to add a sense of tradition, but the real strength came from how the system functioned as a whole.

The result was a cohesive, scalable brand that made it easier for internal teams to create aligned, professional materials. It reduced fragmentation, improved usability, and gave the university a clearer, more unified presence—positioning the brand to grow confidently alongside its evolving campus experience.
